FIe \( f:R\to R \) o functie continua astfel incat ecuatia \( f(x)=x \) nu are solutii reale. Aratati ca nici ecuatia \( f^n(x)=x \)( \( n \in N \)) nu are nici o solutie reala, unde \( f^n(x) \) reprezinta compunerea de n ori.

Din ipoteza rezulta ca functia continua g(x)=f(x)-x nu se anuleaza in nici un punct, deci g(x)>0 sau g(x)<0 pentru orice x. Daca g(x)>0 rezulta f(x)>x, deci \( f^n>f^{n-1}>...>x \). Analog g(x)<0.
